Containers reproduce environments, but GPU passthrough, driver match, and model volume mounts are common failure points. Kubernetes helps teams schedule replicas; a single workstation often only needs Compose.

Checklist:

• Verify GPU visibility inside the container (nvidia-smi or equivalent).
• Persist model caches on volumes so rebuilds do not redownload everything.
• Set concurrency from benchmarks—VRAM is not casually oversubscribed.

Stabilize one container before orchestrating many.
